At this writing, I am a 62-year-old  native New Yorker living in a borough of that city.
I spent over 38 years as a copy editor, and sometime contributing writer at a company which published both newspapers and magazines.
At the age of 58 I changed careers and became a special ed. teacher in the New York City public school system.
I now teach at an inner city public school in Brooklyn. I work  with children who, among other things, are cognitively delayed and mentally disturbed.
I am a published writer and poet with a ribald, and sometimes bawdy sense of humor. I am a strong romantic who relishes a sense of intimacy, even when chatting.
I am generally even tempered, and cheerful, but can become extremely angry whenever I encounter ignorance, intolerance, and people who are puritanically judgmental.
        Yours Truly,
          Richie
