Heart Longs for the Day
My Heart Longs for the Day
My heart longs for the day,
When into your heart I've found a way.
When our arms around each other entwine,
And our hearts beat as one we find.
That as time goes by the closer we grow,
Letting our love for each other show.
But should you find,
That your heart wants none of mine.
Then we'll go our separate ways,
For there would be no reason to stay.
Because this is real life not a movie or a play,
There are no imaginary dragons for my knight to slay.
Somewhere ther must beat a heart that's true,
Someone who'll feel exactly as I do.
He'll be loving, gentle and kind,
Funny, smart , with a fair mind.
Someone who'll cherish my heart,
A Love from whom only death can part.
Evening's last view
Evening's last view
More glorious than morning dew
Wonderous colors that are ever
Seem to hang above the last
More precious than silver or
God's love is visibly
Rest and peace he did intend
For us to see in the day's end
My Mom's hands have done many
From milking cows to mopping
To growing vegetables for us
And raising chickens for the
I guess Mom's job was as hard
as any man's.
That has toiled upon this land.
She's always given me her very
Even when we kids put her to
Very thankful we should be .
To Have had a Mom such as she.
He stood tall, pround and strong,
Across our land his stride was long
At his sideI learned to love
all things on earth and above
many things I have acheived
Because in me he did believe
He was my Dad you see
And to me he'll always be
The same mn I see in my mind
Regardless of changes wrought by time
My memeories are untarnished and bright
My Dad has walked into the light.
As Christmas time again draws near,
Memories of others long ago I hear.
All these things my minds eye can see.
There in a corner stands a freshly cut cedar tree.
Boxes of ornaments and tinsel to be hung.
Christmas carols to be song.
The smell of Mom's cookies baking.
All of us helping with the candy making.
Divinity, peanut brittle and all kinds of fudge.
Sampling each till you can't budge.
I remember when Christmases were less hurried and
paces less fast
And memeories were made to last.
Her heart was empty and all alone.
It beat in a single monotone.
Empty days and long nights came and went.
For her heart was sorely bent.
She had searched but could not find.
A man that was loving, gentle and kind.
Then one day a letter came,
From a man who felt the same.
They chose a place for their meeting.
He brought a rose for a greeting.
When they met she was entranced.
Whether by fate ,destiny or chance.
Their eyes met and their hands touched they found,
Hurts from the past started to heal.
Because of the love the two began to feel.
Dawn hangs as a curtain
The day begins uncertain
Never is the air so still
As when the sun peeps over the hill
A glowing disc of molten fire
That moves ever higher
As the sun's blazing glory
Tells the wonderous story
Of his great everlasting love
That showers forth from above.
